Saturdays at the Library
Every Saturday is Movie & Wii day!!! Come join us at 9:30 for a movie and at Noon for Wii play! Games include Wii Sports, MarioKart, Wii Play, and Rock Band.
PSP @ the Library
The library now has 2 PSPs that can be checked out and used in the library. Plus we have 4 games and 1 movie that can be checked out and used on our PSPs or yours. They are Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, Sims 2: Castaway, Hot Brain, 7 Wonders of the Ancient World, & National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets.
Wii Day!!!

Heir Apparent by Vivian Vande Velde
This book is about a girl who goes to a gaming center to use the certificate she got from her dad to play one game for 30 minutes. She gets trapped in the game “Heir Apparent” because of the people protesting against the gaming center. She has to complete the game before her brain gets fried.
I liked it because it was interesting. I did not dislike anything about it.
Anybody who likes to read would enjoy this book.

The Magic Tree House: Summer of the Sea Serpent by Mary Pope Osborne
This book is about Jack, Annie, and their time traveling magic tree house. The magic tree house has taken Jack and Annie on many wonderful adventures. This time the tree house takes them to a land lost in mist during the summer solstice. After they pass through the spider queen’s cave they meet Kathleen. Kathleen takes them into the water with her and she turns them into seals so they can pass through the Jellyfish Cave safely. Near the end of their adventure they find the Sword of Light and use it to fight the sea serpent.
I liked the fight with the sea serpent.

The road to Oz by L. Frank Baum
This book is about a girl named Dorothy, you might remember her from the Wizard of Oz. Dorothy is on her way to the Emerald City in the Land of Oz to visit Princess Ozma when these creatures, the Scoodlers, kidnap her and her friends. Dorothy and friends escape after the Wizard sends her powers to help her defeat the Scoodlers. Finally, the journey ends when they arrive in the Emerald City where they party with the Princess because it is her birthday.
I was not crazy about this book. I mainly read it to get reading points for school.
Younger kids might enjoy it.
